Thiodiglycolic Acid

(2,2`Thiodiacetic Acid) CAS# 123-93-3, EC# 204-663-9

Structure

Thiodiglycolic Acid (TDGA) is used as raw material in the pharmazeutical industry and in the polymer industry

Thiodiglycolic Acid Esters

Dibutyl Thiodiglycolate is a raw material for a special sulfur containing and electroconductive polymer, Polythiophene. Di(2-ethylhexyl)thiodiglycolate is used as Rubber Chemical.

Properties

In the presence of alcohols or amines, the carboxylic groups of the Thiodiglycolic Acid will react preferentially. The Dibutyl Thioglycolate can be used for transesterification reactions

Production Facilities

As the leading producer of Thiodiglycolic Acid and its esters BRUNO BOCK and EVANS CHEMETICS are providing state of the art quality from their production facility in Marschacht, Germany (near Hamburg), and excellent customer service from their sales offices in Marschacht and Teaneck, New Jersey, in the USA.

Applications

Thiodiglycolic Acid is produced by BRUNO BOCK as high purity quality and used as raw material in the pharmaceutical industry for the synthesis of Erdostein ans for the syntesis of Polythiophene, an electroconductive polymer.
